Matt appeared next to me. His thin fingers gripped my shoulder, "MOVE" he spat. I was disgusted and wiped my ear of his spit- before I realized what he had said. I moved to the side- behind a concrete wall. My hands cover my face everything is still. In the distance was movement, nothing rushed, but the movement was not from my brother. I looked to meet Matt's gaze. It was unsettling. I moved toward him in the open area. He moved from his wall, he put his hand out, like a crossing gaurd saying 'stop.'
"NO!"
I heard an ear piercing noise. Bang. Gun shot. By this time Matt was in front of me now facing me. He looked angry. I had disappointed him. I was bewildered.
"What?" I asked, "What?!" I grabbed his shoulders to shake him to reality. He fell to his knees, then to the ground completely. The ground was sticky of blood.
I heard it again. Bang.
I saw the bright white of my sheets, it was morning.
